MA DRIVER RETRAINING PROGRAM (DRP) - ALTERNATIVE BEHAVIOR CHOICES (ABCs) IN DRIVING

How do I register for the MA Driver Retraining Program ABCs in Driving course:

  • Visit https://drive.nsc.org/abc
  • After registration you will receive a confirmation email with a unique Access Code and login instructions.

I lost my ABCs in Driving Access Code before using it, how can I get it resent to me?

Go to https://drive.nsc.org/abc, choose the desired language and then choose “Reprint Class Confirmation”. Enter the required information and follow the prompts to have your confirmation containing your unique Access Code emailed to you.

After I login using my ABCs in Driving Access Code, will I need it again?

No. After you login using your Access Code in your account, you will not need it again.

I have already created an account. How do I log in?

Go to abc.nsc.org and click the Existing Account – Login button. Then, enter the email and password you entered when you created your account.

What if I lost or forgot my password?

After clicking Existing Account – Login, click Forgot Your Password? On the next screen, enter the email address you used when creating your account, enter the text shown below your email address and click Submit. A link to reset your password will be sent to the specified email address. Be sure to check your junk/spam folder.

What if I forgot my password, but I don’t remember (or can no longer access) the email address I used to create my account?

What if I need to update the email address I used when creating my account?

Go to abc.nsc.org and log in using the email address and password you entered when creating your account. After logging in, click on “User Profile” in the upper right of the screen on the dark blue menu bar. On the User Profile screen, you may update your personal information, email address, password, and/or phone number. After making the necessary changes, click the blue “Submit” button in the lower right portion of the screen.

What if I need to update the mobile phone number I provided for SMS text message identity verification?

Go to abc.nsc.org and log in using the email address and password you entered when creating your account. After logging in, click on “User Profile” in the upper right of the screen on the dark blue menu bar. On the User Profile screen, scroll to the bottom and input your new mobile phone number. Then click the blue “Submit” button in the lower right portion of the screen.

What kind of device or service is required to complete the ABCs in Driving course?

You must have internet access to complete the ABCs in Driving course. Completing the course on a cell phone or tablet is strongly discouraged. For the easiest and most user-friendly experience, we highly recommend that you complete this course on a computer or laptop. Using a phone or tablet to complete the course may cause navigation issues or cause some content to be difficult to view.

Do I have to complete the ABCs in Driving class all in one session?

No. You are welcome to log in and out of your course as often as you choose to complete the course over multiple sessions. Your place in the course is always automatically saved when you exit the course so you can pick up right where you left off. If you are in the middle of a module, simply click on the X to close your browser.

I already started my ABCs in Driving course, how do I continue from where I left off?

Go to abc.nsc.org and click the Existing Account – Login button. Then, enter the email and password you entered when you created your account and click Submit. On the next page you will see My Courses. Select Launch Course for your course in progress to continue from where you left off.

Do I have to view the Modules in the order they are listed?

Yes, each module must be completed in the order that they appear and will show as “Locked” until the appropriate time.

If I have more than one Massachusetts Driver Retraining Program requirement to complete the ABCs in Driving course, do I have to purchase and take the online class more than once?

Yes, each Driver Retraining Program requirement must be satisfied by a unique course completion. You must register and pay for each MA DRP ABCs in Driving course that you are required to complete. You will receive a separate email confirmation and unique Access Code for each registration. Each Access Code may be used only once.

If I have to complete the ABCs in Driving course multiple times, do I have to create a new account each time?

No. If you have previously created an account for our ABCs in Driving course, go to abc.nsc.org and enter the Email Address and Password you used when creating your account. After you log into your account, you can use additional Access Codes on the My Courses page at any time. Please note, you must complete any course in progress prior to starting another.

I am not receiving the text messages with identity validation codes, what should I do?

Go to abc.nsc.org and log in using the email address and password you entered when creating your account. After logging in, click on “User Profile” in the upper right of the screen on the dark blue menu bar. On the User Profile screen, scroll to the bottom to make sure the mobile phone number in your profile is correct. You can change the mobile phone number at any time and then click the blue “Submit” button in the lower right portion of the screen.

If your mobile phone number is correct and you still are not receiving the text messages, contact National Safety Council for assistance at MAtechsupport@nsc.org or 800.215.1581, option 2.

I’m stuck in the course – it won’t let me go further.
